Located in northern Burundi near the Rwandan border, Lac aux Oiseaux (“Lake of Birds”) is one of the country’s finest wetland birding sites. Sunset offers excellent opportunities to observe birds returning to their roosts against the backdrop of the peaceful lake.

After breakfast, take a short tour of Kirundo and discover the town’s unique charm. AFTERNOON:
Drive to Muramvya
Travel south to Muramvya, where you will stop to enjoy lunch before continuing your journey into Burundi’s scenic highlands.
